BOOKING
PROCEDURE
If you wish to book a stall, you have two options: 1
You can call into the Market Office, located on the Balcony of the Indoor
Market between 7.00 a.m and 8.30 a.m on the day you wish to trade 2 You
can reserve a position by calling into the Market Office from 2.00 p.m the previous
week. Payment is due at the time of booking and is non refundable. Car boot spaces
and the Tuesday market are the most popular and on these days you are advised
if possible to book in advance. All
stalls pre-booked must be occupied in full by 8.30am. Any stall still vacant after
this deadline may be re-let. WHAT
CAN YOU SELL?
You can now sell both new goods and second hand goods. The sale of food is currently
not permitted. The sale of BB Guns and knives or other products that we consider
offensive is not permitted. Markets Officers will ultimately determine what may
constitute an offensive product. CHARGES
With effect from 01/04/09 | REGULAR
TRADERS
Regular car boot traders are required under the County of Lancashire Act 1984
to register for a Second-hand Goods Dealers License. Application Forms are available
from the Market Office. The license costs £25.00 and is a one-off payment. TRADER
PARKING
There is no specific trader parking facility for market traders although the following
car-parks are located within a short distance of the market. The current full
day charges are:
Market Car Park: Up to 5 hours £4.00, over 5 hours £7.00
Bus Station Car Park: Up to 24 hours £4.00 GENERAL
RULES & REGULATIONS
A full copy of the Rules & Regulations relating to the car boot / flea market
is available from the Market Office. STALL
SIZES
Large market: 12ft x 9ft Small market: 9ft x 9ft The stalls are arranged in a
'U' shape.
